Granted, the team of players who usually hold halls for Taiwan are actually French.
Just like Wee Free Men who win for Japan are actually British.

Haves and have nots.
Its not like we cant even own them. You can buy them, I have seen every single one of them, Panda, Kanaxi etc all for sale on the American servers.

Personally i think ALL mini-pets shoudl be available to ALL players. There should be no special 'regional' treatment. It's only fair and non-bias.
Yes, you can buy them, but due to their 'regional' availability, they are at silly prices beyond the means of most and far above their worth.
Any player of GW should have the same chance of getting any mini-pet that is available as a birthday present, no matter their country of origin.

It does. This thread is about minipets that are not offered as birthday gifts but as special gift.

Actually, I like the idea of regional minipets like the panda. I also like the idea of incredibly rare minipets. But, I agree that they should be a little more evened out. Give America and Europe some more, different minipets, equally rare.

I thought they were birthday gifts, my bad. How do Asian players get these then?
As for haves and have nots, it's a pointless conversation. I have lots, been playing a while and still think that in a game when the max you can carry is 100k, then nothing should cost more than that (even though i am guilty of selling one item for more in my 20 months of playing), end of conversation.
Still, i'd be interested to know how these mini's are gained...is it a collectors edition thing?
Thanks,
Ferret.

They got the Naga, Longhair and Oni as a netcafe promo...oh that's off. We should definately have got a shot at the purple Asian mini-pets in a similar promo (like the Grey Giant which sucks by comparison).
As for the Panda and co...seems fair that these are special, but should have been a chance for non-Asian players to 'win' these too.

They just mini pets! They don't do anything for you, they don't cook, don't pick up your drop, don't body block or make anyone trip over them.
Useless I say,.....and I want them all! Gimme Gimme!

...... I wouldn't mind a pet Oni...
But what I really want is.... a mini....
... [wiki]Mungri Magicbox[/wiki]!! ^_^
I'd pay through the roof for a Mungri Magicbox Mini-Pet... complete with blue glow...
And I wish I could dye / change Kuunavang to look like [wiki]Star Ancient Koosun[/wiki] (complete with mini stream of health numbers to mimic Sliver Armor)... FTW.

I have answered this before. I'd like to not answer it again, so please give this a good read, and refer people to this in the future, when the whole things starts up again.
We occasionally have region-specific offers, prizes, or opportunities. There are no pre-orders in Asia, but they were available in Europe and North America. There were Coke items in Korea, and not anywhere else. There were items offered in conjuction with release of the game in Taiwan and/or Japan. The Gray Giant did not make it to Asia. The GvG prizes did not make it to NA and Europe, yet. PvP Packs are not available in Asia, nor, I believe, are character slots.
Sometimes the items make it into other regions eventually, like through a special edition box or some other means. Sometimes they don't. It's not a case of regional preference or special treatment or trying to lure people to buy the game. It's a case of meeting the various needs of the different communities, or doing unique things to support them that are available at a particular time.
As I said in a visit recently, I have learned that I may be able to get my mitts on a small number of the miniatures that were used for GvG prizes in the Japanese tournament. If so, I'll use them for prizes for community contests that we hold in the future and that will assure their availability to players in regions outside of the original distribution point.
I hope that answers the questions and assures you that no one is being excluded or under-served.
